Sekretas watch

London independent’s limited edition timepiece down to last six pieces

Dovile Bertulyte, a contemporary jewellery designer, has teamed with Mr Jones Watches to sell 50 handmade watches, adorned with dried flowers and gold leaf in the dial.

The 37mm Sekretas watch takes its inspiration from Ms Berulyte’s childhood, when she used to dry and press flowers. This same process is translated into the watchmaking, with flowers being gilded onto the 22 carat gold leaf dial.

Mr Jones Watches posted a video on January 31 to promote the range. At the time of writing, only six watches were unsold.

The watch , which features flowers around the rim of the dial, as well as in the middle, has two yellow petals acting as the hours and minutes hands.

A quartz movement powers the petals, which sit inside the silver-polished steel case. The piece also comes with a Nuback effect grey strap, however it can be fitted with other straps on the Mr Jones Watches’ website.

The Sekretas watch, which is limited to 50 handmade pieces, retails for £245.
