Linley British show includes Bremont and Bamford

Bremont and Bamford Watch Department are part of an exhibition of British design, craftsmanship, engineering and innovation curated by designers David Linley and Scott Simpson.

The exhibition at the flagship Linley showroom on London’s Pimlico Road was launched with a VIP party this week with JCB diggers framing the doorway and a McLaren Spyder MP4-12C Spyder in the store window.

300 guests, including Princess Alexandra of Kent, Elizabeth Hurley, Sue Crewe, Nick Foulkes, Julia Carrick, Eric and Hannah Heerema and Gerry McGovern, mixed with the designers and engineers to gain a better understanding of their work.

The exhibition saw examples of pieces from nineteen carefully British brands including Gladstone Motorcycles, Hornby, Rolls Royce Aerospace, Purdey, Lock & Co, John Lobb Bespoke, Globe Trotter, CW Dixey, BVS Bespoke, Barnard & Westwood Printers, Linley, JCB, Hardy Fishing, Nyetimber, Deakin & Francis and Palawan Press as well as the Henley-on-Thames watchmaker and Knightsbridge-based watch customisation specialist. Visitors can view the exhibition until March 14.
