Spidolite titanium and gold

Linde Werdelin skeletonise fourth gen Spidolite

Linde Werdelin has released two new additions to its Spidolite range, included the lightest watch the company has ever produced, for an exclusive period at Paris retailer Chronopassion.

The Spidolite Gold and Spidolite Titanium were conceived whilst working on a watch that had been commissioned to take part in an ascent on Mount Everest.

Company co-founder Morten Linde said: “By looking at the watch holistically, we have stripped the components back to optimise weight, whilst creating balance in design.”

The titanium watch is the lightest ever created by Linde Werdelin, with these fourth generation Spidolites being described as the ‘most extreme skeleton to date’. The model displays its power reserve by means of a skeletonised barrel, which reveals the level of tension in the mainspring. This is the first Linde Werdelin to feature a power reserve indication.

The watches go on sale exclusively at Chronopassion in Paris from today for a period of ten days, after which the watches will be on general release.

When the SpidoLite Titanium and Spidolite Gold do go on sale in the UK they will cost £13,200 and £20,400 respectively. Each will be available in limited and numbered series of 75 pieces.
