British Swiss-made brand Du Maurier has launched a watch to celebrate the birthday of inspiring literary figure Dame Daphne du Maurier, who would have been 107 next month.
The Daphne Signature Black is a limited edition ladies timepiece taking inspiration from designs of the 1940s and 50s with jet black face, small seconds ETA movement, gold index markers and elegant hands.
The neatly proportioned 32mm gold PVD case is topped with a domed sapphire crystal and secured with a black lizard skin strap.
On the reverse the highly polished steel screw-down caseback is signed with Daphne du Maurier’s signature and limited edition serial number.
The watch will retail at £440 and will be available through the brand’s website as well as those of Watches of Switzerland and Goldsmith’s.
