Northcote hotel obsession

Leonard Dews helps raise money for Hospitality Action charity

Blackpool’s most prestigious jeweller, Leonard Dews, has helped raise £32,000 for Hospitality in Action, a charity that helps people in the hotel business who run into difficulties or fall ill.

Leonard Dews sponsored an event called Obsession 18, a series of 18 dinners at the exclusive Northcote Hotel just outside Blackburn, where some of the world’s best chefs serve up extraordinary meals on consecutive nights.

The jeweller was present throughout the series of evenings, presenting a range of fine jewellery and a selection of Patek Philippe timepieces to the great and good of the North West.

Obsession first took place in 2001 and was created by Northcote Hotel’s owner Nigel Haworth as a celebration of great food, wine and a meeting of friends, old and new.

“From that first event, its size has grown but the ethos is still very much the same, always looking to offer guests a completely memorable culinary experience, created by some of the world’s most innovative chefs,” Mr Haworth says.
