Larsson & Jennings wholesale push attracts major online and high street retailers

A drive by Larsson & Jennings to build a broader network of retail partners is bearing fruit, particularly with the UK’s biggest online stores.

Watchshop, Watch Hut, Watcho and HS Johnson have all started stocking the company’s watches. Watches2U is about to start.

Until this year, Larsson & Jennings has been known as a Scandinavian watch brand that sells direct to consumers via its ecommerce website and branded boutique in London.

But the 5-year old brand has been quietly building up a network of retail partners, particularly in the fashion market and this year hired Paul Nolan, a watch industry veteran, to head a sales drive to get its watches stocked by independent and multiple jewellers.

“The brand has grown rapidly since its inception 5 years ago through our own ecommerce site as well as our own retail premises. We have a strong wholesale presence in fashion retailers such as Liberty, Harrods and Selfridges; Nordstrom and Bloomingdales in the US. We are an exclusive watch brand with Net-A-Porter,” Mr Nolan describes.

The company exhibited at the buying meeting of The Company of Master Jewellers in August and later signed with contemporary jewellers Swag and Sarah Layton.

Retailers are supported in-store with luxury POS. Larsson & Jennings also provides training and development along with co-op marketing money, according to Mr Nolan.
