Kronaby has announced it will become an official supplier to the CMJ, giving it access to a huge UK buying market.

Being an official supplier to the CMJ will enable the Swedish-based watchmaker to gain access to a large UK buying group for independent and mini-multiple jewellers.

Approved suppliers to the CMJ are granted privileged access to its network of 161 retail members which include more than 400 outlets across the UK and Ireland.

The CMJ appointed Terry Boot as CEO earlier this year following the departure of Willie Hamilton.

Boot sat down with WatchPro’s sister title Professional Jeweller in March and outlined re-engaging suppliers as one of his main aims.

He said: “It is key just to re-engage with the members and suppliers, and say right, ‘what do you actually want?’ And also for us to shout about what we actually do as well. So it’s to reengage with existing members and suppliers, and to look at getting more members in.”

Looking back on his initial targets, the partnership with Kronaby is certainly a step in the right direction for Boot.
