Kennett to expand range with lifestyle products

British watch brand Kennett is to expand its collection to include lifestyle products to complement its timepieces.

The brand was initially founded on a collection of men’s watches, although customer demand quickly saw a women’s collection developed.

Recent feedback has led Tom Kennett, who founded the company three years ago, to add a collection of iPhone cases that were revealed at the London Watch Show this weekend and will be launched in the coming weeks.

“The Kennett story is very organic and in its infancy was very experimental,” Kennett added. “We started with a dream, less than £10,000 and a determined focus on developing a long term, credible brand with quality products. When I started Kennett I had a vision of quality products, of a multi-category brand some years down the line. Watches have been a lifelong passion for me so it was natural and always will be that watches will be the central focus for our brand.”

A series of prototypes are also in development that will see a range of leather goods, technical accessories, cufflinks and polo shirts added to the Kennett collection.

Kennett added: “Central to all of our designs is a desire to create quality items and offer consumers greater choice; our ranges are often seen as vibrant and daring; something a little different. We want to take a number of the core concepts we are developing within our watch range and inject that brand DNA into our new product categories. As the products develop and mature it will become increasingly clear the synergy between our ranges.”

Kennett explained to WatchPro.com that the expansion was intended to develop sales within new markets but also help drive sales of the Kennett watch range with new customers buying phone cases and aspiring to buy a Kennett watch in the future.
