Kenneth Cole has introduced its latest automatic watch in support of AIDS research.
The significance of the Powered by You watch being powered solely by the wearer, is to reflect the idea that change and help for AIDS research can only happen because of people taking action.
As Kenneth Cole licensee partner, the Geneva Watch Group is donating at least $25,000 from the sale of the watches to amfAR, the Foundation for AIDS Research.
Fashion designer Kenneth Cole has supported the promotion of AIDS awareness for a long time and more than 25 years ago used his platform as a fashion designer to launch a series of provocative advertising campaigns that helped generate awareness and raise funds for research aimed at finding a cure. Cole is now in his 8th year as chairman of amfAR.
Cole said: “This is the time to step up our investment in a cure for AIDS. This new, limited edition Powered by You watch is intended to cultivate a call-to-action for today’s generation to find a cure.”
The limited edition Powered by You watch features an exhibition case back that exposes the watch’s 21 Jewel self-winding automatic movement. Designed with both men and women in mind, the watch features a skeleton silver dial with rose gold accents, a stainless steel band and case with rose gold coloured rotating rachet bezel.
