Kate Spade watches launch into the UK

Chic New York label Kate Spade has launched its collection of fashion watches into the UK in partnership with Inter City Group (ICG).

The colourful watches, some of which feature the signature Kate Spade bow, were revealed to buyers at the New York label’s Covent Garden boutique last week. The event resulted in buyers from Fenwicks and Bentalls department stores placing orders and Goldsmiths Boutiques will launch the range in July.

The brand only established its fashion collection in the UK two years ago by opening stores in Westfield London, Sloane Square and Covent Garden.

The collection features saffiano leathers, classic styles, rose gold bracelets and chronographs and each watch features an uplifting, engraved motto on the caseback.

The partnership with ICG marks the first time that Kate Spade has appointed externally for distribution within the UK. The collection launched exclusively with Selfridges before being taken on by John Lewis, Asos, WatchShop and The Watch Hut.

The collection, retailing from £150 to £250, will be rolled out further across the UK throughout the coming year.
