Hybrid smartwatches from Kairos Watches can be used to make instant payments thanks to a deal with financial services provide Wirecard AG.
The watch will effectively become a contactless payment card that can be used in any shop with an NFC-based terminal. Apple is offering the same system in its Apple Watch, making it increasingly likely to be adopted by mainstream retailers around the world.

The Kairos Hybrid Mechanical Smart Watch, which created a storm when it was unveiled at Baselworld, features a Swiss or Japanese mechanical movement with an integrated transparent OLED screen in the glass for smartwatch functions.
