Derbyshire-based fine jeweller and wholesaler CW Sellors has announced a merger agreement of its online watch trade with luxury watch retailer Jura Watches.
The strategic partnership “will allow for continued growth and expansion in the online luxury watch market”, and the merged website will be rebranded as CW Sellors Luxury Watches – incorporating Jura Watches.
All Jura retail operations and distributions, currently operating out of its London base in Burlington Gardens, will relocate to CW Sellors’ new Derbyshire shop, the Watch Boutique, in Ashbourne.
There, using Jura’s successful e-commerce platform, CW Sellors says Jura’s “quality of customer service will remain consistent”, along with the benefit of the extra support from the extended CW Sellors team.
CW Sellors says that the website will continue to set new standards of online luxury watch retail as its “continue to expand and explore new avenues for growth”.
James Sellors of CW Sellors, who has been heading up the new development, said: “This is a very exciting move for both companies. The expansion reflects current market trends and will considerably increase the power of our e-commerce business in watch retail.
“The decision is the result of many years of a shared vision of providing customers with quality products and excellent customer service.”
The move will mean that Jura’s store on Burlington Gardens will close. CW Sellors says that it is opening the store in Ashbourne following a boom in interest in watches both in terms of its bricks and mortar locations, and online.
Jura watches director Matthew Warren added: “We are very excited about the merger which will allow us to combine the strengths of both organisations and provide an even higher level of customer service.
“The net result will be a bigger and better luxury watch retailer which will be able to offer in store and online a deeper and wider selection of watch brands”
