Jorg Gray joins London Watch Show line up

Jorg Gray is the latest exhibitor to sign up to new UK trade exhibition London Watch Show, which will open its doors for the first time in July.

The American watch brand will be presented at the exhibition, which will be held on July 2 and 3 at the Freemasons Hall in London, by its European distributor Stormbrand.

Jorg Gray’s Steven Kluk said that the watch company has decided to exhibit at the London Watch Show, organised by WatchPro’s parent company ITP Promedia, following research into the UK market that showed many of its target retailers were reducing trips to international trade shows.

Kluk said: "This year we have decided to concentrate showcasing our range through country specific exhibitions. Our research revealed that a greater majority of jewellers were unable to visit Basel or had insufficient time to do justice to range viewings whilst there and therefore preferred local shows for both cost and time efficiency.

"WatchPro is new; we are considered a new and up-and-coming brand, and for this reason we felt it further proved our commitment to the UK market to be a pioneer exhibitor at this show. Our marketing plan for 2013 is aimed at supporting our stockists and seeding more brand fans."

Kluk believes that the show will allow Stormbrand to introduce new retailers to the Jorg Gray brand as well as service and strengthen existing accounts. He said: "Daily we are receiving calls from retailers wanting to stock our brand. The London Watch Show gives us that opportunity to show and tell as well as meet and greet potential stockists."

London Watch Show now has 18 confirmed exhibitors: Accurist, Ball Watches, Bulova, Casio, Fendi, Festina, Glam Rock, Holler, Junghans, Jorg Gray, Lulu Guinness, Metal CH, Philip Stein, Royal London Watches, Suunto, Timex, TW Steel and Wryst.
