Two of Japan’s greatest exports, Pokémon and Casio, have joined forces to create a Baby-G watch inspired by Pikachu.
Both Picachu and the Baby-G are celebrating their 25th anniversaries this year.
Pokémon video game obsessives will notice distinctive details on the Baby-G watch the original Pokémon Red and Pokémon Blue video games released in 1996 by Nintendo.
The commemorative numbers 0:25 are printed on the band loop, while the matte black watch band is decorated with neon, polygon-style Pikachu lightning marks and Poké Balls.
The design of the dial references the original game screen, a nod to Pokémon’s 90’s origins.
A yellow polygon-style Pikachu appears when the backlight is turned on and the character’s silhouette is etched on the case back.
Naturally, the watch comes packed in a Poké Ball.
