Jaeger-LeCoultre appoints Richemont lifer Catherine Rénier as its chief executive

Jaeger-LeCoultre has appointed Catherine Rénier as its new chief executive.

She will take up the post immediately, following a move from Richemont stablemate Van Cleef & Arpels. Ms Rénier has been based in Hong Kong for the past 10 years, initially as commercial director and for the past five years as president of Asia Pacific.

Her first taste of life Richemont was as retail development director at Cartier in New York, a post she held from 1999 to 2003 before transferring for her first role at Van Cleef & Arpels in Paris as deputy international marketing director for a five year stint.

Jaeger-LeCoultre has been without a full time CEO since February, 2017, when Daniel Riedo was replaced by interim CEO Geoerge Kern. Mr Kern left Richemont in July to head up Breitling.

Geoffrey LeFebvre, who has been running Jaeger-LeCoultre as deputy CEO, is moving to Baume & Mercier on June 1 as the brands full time chief executive.
