IWC trains robots to talk to customers

IWC has worked with Facebook’s Messenger team and Creative Shop to create an app that lets customers visit a virtual boutique and chat with a virtual advisor through a Chatbot app.

The watchmaker is promising to give customers using the app advanced news of new watches.

They can also book appointments to book appointments at one of 10 IWC boutiques around the world, contact a concierge or directly buy watches online.

“IWC has always looked to offer its customers valuable, innovative experiences,” says Dominic Weir, chief digital officer at IWC.

“Digital development throughout the customer journey is close to our hearts, and it’s a commitment which seems more relevant than ever. It allows us to be here for customers, as we always have been, providing the same high-quality experience they expect.”
