“I’m delighted that we’ve revisited one of the most recognizable icons in the IWC portfolio for this special edition. We are always striving to push the boundaries of engineering and design, and this new watch really exemplifies this drive. It has all the signature elements you’d expect, but with a crucial difference,” says IWC CEO Christoph Grainger-Herr.

Strangely, the watch is named the Big Pilot Watch Edition Right Hander because its crown is on the right of the dial and it is designed to be worn on the right wrist.

Other than that, the 250 piece limited edition is the Right-Hander is a standard Big Pilot housing an IWC-made 52010 automatic movement in a 46.2mm steel case worn on a black leather strap.

IWC says that Australia and France retailers have been given three months exclusivity on the watch, so partners in the United States should not expect to see it until November.

However, the American IWC website does have it on sale today for $14,200.Final iw501012
