IWC launches second Father and Son line

IWC has launched its second special collection of family-focused timepieces aimed at fathers and their sons with a collection of two new Big Pilot’s watches.

Georges Kern, chief executive of IWC said: “Our new Pilot’s Watches for father and son are the perfect opportunity for any family wishing to strengthen this bond and to proclaim it stylishly to the outside world.”

The brand first launched a range of watches aimed at sons and fathers in 2008. This second collection has been rolled out “to retain the language of flying [for] the pilot and co-pilot”.

The watches are 46mm and 39mm Big Pilot’s watches with automatic in-house calibre IWC 511111 and IWC 30110 movements.

The stainless steel father’s watch has a power reserve of 168 hours, Pellaton automatic winding, date display, power reserve display, central hacking seconds, a rhodium-plated dial, black alligator leather strap and is water resistance to 60 meters.

The smaller son’s timepiece has a power reserve of 42 hours, a similar stainless steel case, the rhodium-plated dial, black alligator leather strap, pin buckle in stainless and is also water resistance to 60 meters.
