IWC and Oscar favourite Bradley Cooper raise money and awareness for visually impaired children’s charity

Bradley Cooper will walk the red carpet at this weekend’s Oscars wearing a special Big Pilot’s Watch Single Piece with a one-of-a-kind engraving that will later be donated to a charity auction.

Bradley Cooper will walk the red carpet at this weekend’s Oscars wearing a special Big Pilot’s Watch Single Piece with a one-of-a-kind engraving that will later be donated to a charity auction.

Auctioneer Sotheby’s and IWC will donate the entire sale price of the watch to  to the Antoine de Saint-Exupéry Youth Foundation, which will put the money towards Arrimage, a charitable organization that focuses on teaching visually impaired children how to read drawings using their sense of touch.

Mr Cooper will be one of the most photographed stars at this year’s Academy Awards thanks to the film A Star is Born receiving eight Oscar nominations, in which he starred and was its director and producer.

The star will be wearing the Big Pilot’s Watch Single Piece (Ref. IW500923), which has an 18ct gold case housing an  IWC-manufactured 51111-caliber movement and a midnight blue dial.

The auction opens today, February 22, at www.sothebys.com/buy/35534ada-d5f9-4995-9009-0907378eda44 with an opening bid set at $16,000.
