Innovative Watch Retailer of the Year finalists announced for the 2016 WatchPro Awards

WatchPro is delighted to announce the finalists in the Innovative Watch Retailer of the Year category of the 2016 WatchPro Awards.

Finalists in this category are specialist watch retailers with unique business models.

The finalists in the WatchPro Awards Innovative Watch Retailer of the Year category are:

Watchfinder
Being first or best is crucial in business; but first and best is even better, as Watchfinder’s success in the pre-owned prestige watch market has proved. Annual sales rose to £68 million this year, making it the largest vintage watch retailer in Europe. On average, the business sells a £5000 timepiece every 30 minutes, it claims.

Pacha
Established in 1996, Pacha Jewellers has built a loyal UK-based and international clientele that appreciate the unique, exceptional luxurious watches from brands such as Chopard, Hublot, Schreiner, Jacob & Co. The key to Pacha’s business model is sourcing limited edition pieces that nobody else can find for their ultra high net worth customers.

Fellows
Auction house Fellows noticed rising interest and soaring prices for its vintage watch sales in 2013 and made the decision to ramp up their frequency and scale. As a result, The Watch Sale from Fellows is now a monthly event that routinely lists watches worth well over £1 million, with bids pinging in from around the world via its online trading platform.

Mr Porter
Strictly guarded barricades used to be maintained between the worlds of menswear and luxury watches, with only institutions like Harrods and Selfridges able to do both. Mr Porter, the gentlemen’s wing of Net-A-Porter, has broken through with an online-only store that offers outstanding service levels for fine watch customers buying Bremont, Zenith and Oris. Mr Porter even tells you what suit to wear to complement your chosen timepiece.

The winners of each award will be decided by a private vote among WatchPro readers.

A survey form will be sent on September 26 to a list consisting purely of retail executives, asking them to vote on awards categories concerning watch brands and wholesalers.

A separate survey will be sent on the same day purely to executives in the watch brand and wholesaler community, asking them to vote on awards categories concerning retailers.

The winners will be announced at a spectacular black tie dinner taking place on October 26 at the Globe Theatre in London.
