Ingersoll Watches have gone on sale in Selfridges department stores in London and Birmingham as part of a launch programme that has attracted other major multiples and independents to the brand.
Watch distributor Zeon, which owns American heritage brand Ingersoll, introduced the trade to a new era for the watch company at Basel earlier this year.
Speaking to WatchPro during that Basel launch, Simon Gilham, managing director of Zeon, said that the reaction from buyers had been tremendous. “I am pleased to say that it was an amazing Basel for Zeon, the reception to the Ingersoll re-launch was nothing short of astounding and I am so excited to take the brand onwards and upwards globally,” he said.
As well as Selfridges, Ingersoll went on sale last week at premium menswear fashion independent Choice in Lakeside and Bluewater shopping malls.
WatchShop, Asos and Goldsmiths are also about to begin selling the Ingersoll 2016 collection, according to Javier Guerra, UK sales manager for the brand.
“It’s an exciting time in the long rich history of this great brand and we’re very proud to see many of our valued retail partners supporting the Ingersoll brand,” he added.
