Scovill bronze 125 year

Ingersoll creates limited edition Scovill to mark its 125th anniversary

Ingersoll celebrated 125 years of watchmaking at Baselworld last month.

The company can trace its heritage back to 1892, when Robert H Ingersoll and his brother Charles founded the Ingersoll Watch Company, making it one of America’s oldest watchmakers.

To celebrate the anniversary, Ingersoll has created a limited edition Scovill watch crafted from bronze.

The metal starts to age almost immediately when it comes into contact with the air, which means that each watch will change over time to create a unique patina finish that will be different to each piece.

Only 125 of the limited edition are being made, each sporting an historic anniversary Ingersoll logo on the dial.

It has a leather strap made by America’s foremost leather goods maker, Horween, and a free additional Nato fabric strap.

The watch comes in a special wooden presentation box.

Authorised UK stockists will take pre-orders for August 2017 delivery. The watch is priced at £550.
