IN PICS: Corum adds high jewellery piece unique trio to Bubble collection

Back in November’s WatchPro Watches of the Year issue we named Corum’s reborn Bubble as one of the year’s best luxury watches but noted the relaunched model’s sober disposition when compared to the unhinged eccentricity of the original watches.

It would seem Corum had a strategy in place to address this, not only with the recently announced Paiste and OpArt models but now with a glamorous high jewellery, skeletonised trio of piece uniques.

The Corum Bubble High Jewellery Skeleton trio are three unique white gold, diamond-set watches utilising ultra-thin movements and, in turn, rubies, blue sapphires and black sapphires.

Each watch is set with 131 brilliant-cut diamonds on the dial, and a further 42 on the bezel, totalling 5.7 carats of diamonds. Then each watch is set with 12 baguette-cut gems that form the hour markers, using rubies, blue sapphires or black sapphires.

After being open-worked by hand the movement is then decorated with a floral motif, save for the barrel that is open-worked to form the Corum key logo.

Each Bubble High Jewellery Skeleton is fitted to an alligator hide strap finished in the same shade as the gemstone hour markers, and paired with a white gold pin buckle.
