IN PICS: Amazon to divide watch department into stores

Amazon is set to divide its watch department into four distinct stores, each catering for a different style of watch.

Launching in September, the online giant will divide its watch department with four clear store fronts distinguishing between Traditional, Fast Fashion, Luxury and Contemporary Design.

At the e-tailer’s Press Day, senior buyer Gemma Miskimmon and vendor manager watches Jennie Miskell outlined the new ‘stores’ with groupings of new models that will exemplify them from launch.

The biggest change to Amazon’s current offer will be the Contemporary Design store featuring design-led micro brands and with control of Amazon’s entire European watch operation now resting with Miskimmon and Miskell, the duo will be seeking out the best Europe has to offer.

Current brands include Chiandchi, Slow Watch and South Lane Stockholm.
