IJL announces Watch Trail at 2012 show

International Jewellery London (IJL) has announced a new Watch Trail at its 2012 trade show, allowing visitors to map out their route among the watch brands and distributors with ease.

IJL, which takes place between September 2 to 5 at Earls Court in London, will showcase more than 130 new exhibitors with a growing number of watch brands taking part for 2012.

So far brands and distributors including Storm, Since 1853 – which will showcase its new brand Byblos as well as Torgoen Swiss and Revue Thommen among others – Festina, Bering, Kennett Watches and Erhard Junghans are signed up to showcase new collections.

Pre-owned watch specialists BQ Watches will also be in attendance with a wide and varied collection of pre-owned Rolex, Cartier, Breitling, Omega and Patek Phillipe timepieces, priced for the trade.

Peter Carmichael, business development director at Since 1853, said: “Since 1853 is delighted to be exhibiting at IJL 2012 for the third year in a row. We will be exhibiting at least five watch brands never seen before and when this is combined with the launch of the excellent new Watch Trail, it promises to be a fantastic show.

“We have been building and developing our business plans around the IJL show this year and we are all now counting down the days until it opens.”

Kennett Watches will be showing for the first time as an independent UK brand, while Unique Jewelry will showcase Festina’s collection of men’s and women’s watches, which have received a boost in interest from UK buyers following Bradley Wiggin’s recent win at the recent Tour de France, of which the brand is timing partner and sponsor.

Bering Time will follow on from its recent show success at The Jewellery Show London with a stand at IJL. The brand has grown with speed since it arrived in the UK 18 months ago, while distributor Jon Vincent will showcase Junghans and Max Bill timepieces, as the brand makes a renewed push in the UK.
