WATCHPRO Salon, which takes place from November 12 to 13 (Friday and Saturday) at The Londoner Hotel on Leicester Square, comes at the perfect time for iFi Audio, because it is launching a brand new xDSD Gryphon portable hi-fi system this week.
Gryphon is described as a hi-fi system in your pocket with premium HD DAC and Powerful Balanced headamp.
The portable amp brings auditorium-level audio to your headphones.
XSpace adds back the cavernous sound stage of recordings. XBass II reinstates the missing bass from open-backed headphones or for recordings that you hanker for bass slam. Under XBass II you can select ‘Bass’ and/or ‘Presence’ so that the upper midrange frequencies are correctly added back into your favourite recording. iEMatch is proprietary tech which reduces the annoying hiss from high-sensitivity headphones without losing any dynamic range.
With digital sources, users can choose between three bespoke digital filters via the on-screen menu: Bit-Perfect, Standard and GTO (Gibbs Transient Optimised), each having a fine-tuning effect on sound.
Gryphon will be shown alongside iFi’s award winning Aurora sound system and one lucky visitor to WATCHPRO Salon will win the Aurora (worth £1,400) on the day.
iFi Audio is also offering a 10% discount on all its systems sold at WATCHPRO Salon including its Go Blu and Hip Dac 2.
iFi is co-hosting an after party on the Friday night.
This follows opening night cocktails on the Salon show floor, after which guests can retire to the Green Room and continue partying late into the evening.
