Hysek ecommerce site

Hysek starts selling direct to consumers with the launch of its own ecommerce site

Independent watchmaker says it will offer customers the choice of buying online or heading to a local authorised dealer.

Hysek is only 22 years old, and like most Generation Zers it was born into the digital economy and instinctively more comfortable with its disruptive powers.

So it is little surprise that the independent Swiss watchmaker has announced plans to launch its own ecommerce site this week, although a quick tour of the site this morning suggests it is not quite ready to welcome its first customers.

“Today, Hysek announced that its new website is now online. Over and above the website’s new look and feel, the announcement marks a further enhancement of the manufacture’s digital strategy – now more dynamic, more connected, and closer to its customers, with the accompanying opening of an online store, making the vast majority of the brand’s creations easier to obtain,” the company says.

Browsing the new website this morning, WatchPro found a more modern interface and the option to “add to cart” on most of Hysek’s more affordable collections such as the Abyss Kalysta and IO lines and all watches have published prices in Swiss francs. However, when we tried to add to cart, a message popped up saying that the shop is not available yet but is coming soon.

Higher end pieces that Hysek calls its Exclusive Creations are still available only in stores, and the website has information on where to find the nearest stockist. There are currently no Hysek stockists in the UK.
