Hublot’s Biver visits Brooklyn Nets

Hublot reinforced its association with basketball with a dinner at the New York home of the Brooklyn Nets and a conversation with the brand’s chairman Jean-Claude Biver.

‘Hublotistas’ and members of the Timezone forum were invited to the one-night only event at the Barclays Centre arena on Tuesday that also served as the US premiere of the brand’s collections recently unveiled at SIHH, including the limited edition Big Bang Unico All Black 45mm, Big Bang Dark Jeans, the three new Big Bang Ferrari 2014 references and the Classic Fusion Night Out Tourbillon.

Biver was welcomed by longtime NBA All-Star Brooklyn Nets coach Jason Kidd and answered questions from guests in a Q&A session moderated by Timezone’s Andrew Luff.

The relationship between Hublot and the Barclays Center began when the state-of-the-art building opened its doors in 2012, becoming the new home of the Brooklyn Nets. The partnership makes Hublot the Official Timekeeper and watch of both Barclay’s and the Nets, while the building boasts over 100 Oversized Hublot Clocks. Last year Kidd became a friend of the brand.

Hublot’s sporting partnerships include arrangements with the Miami Heat, Los Angeles Lakers, Usain Bolt, Bayern Munich and Juventus football teams and their charitable initiatives.

The brand’s association with the Brooklyn Nets is not limited to the team but also Kidd’s own foundation, which offers mentoring, tutoring and technology programs to help youth succeed in life with Biver presenting Kidd with a cheque on the evening to support its work.
