Hublot to continue building Ferrari partnership

Hublot has announced an update to its partnership with the Italian Scuderia Ferrari Formula 1 race team, in a move that will ensure the Hublot name adorns the Scuderia cars and drivers.

The brand described the "exceptional relationship" that has been cultivated between the Hublot and Ferrari people, which to date has lead to Hublot becoming official timekeeper and official watch of Ferrari and the Scuderia race team.

Hublot has scored its third coup, however, with the Hublot logo set to adorn the team’s new F1 cars and the drivers during the new race season.

Hublot’s chief executive Ricardo Guadalupe said: "Our collaboration with Ferrari has been highly fruitful, on every level and around the globe for the past 12 months, and when I had the opportunity to meet Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo and the Scuderia Ferrari team principal Stefano Domenicali on several occasions at Grand Prix last year, we agreed that we ought to extend our partnership to the Scuderia.

"It is even better for us to have close ties with an icon, a living legend embodied by the two red cars speeding around racing circuits worldwide."

Hublot’s first year of partnership with Ferrari is said to have reaped excellent results at all levels and across all markets, including commercial, with more than 130 events and several fully sold-out limited edition watches, increased brand awareness and also new designs.

The watch brand said its relationship with Ferrari had been so fruitful and positive "that it promises to enable us to go further, in the areas of research and technology, for example in the field of new materials currently under development".
