Hublot pop-up in Dubai for first leg of challenge

Hublot displayed its high complications novelties and watches constructed of innovative materials at a pop-up shop in Dubai yesterday.

His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum was in attendance at the store opening along with Hublot chairman Jean-Claude Biver, which coincided with the launch of the first Hublot Challenge.

They were joined by Mohammed Abdulmagied Seddiqi, senior vice president of sales and retail at Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons, long-term partners of Hublot in Dubai, and Marco Tedeschi, Hublot’s director for Middle-East.

The two-week pop-up in the Grand Atrium of The Dubai Mall plays host to the first round of the Hublot Challenge 2014, which will see visitors test their driving skills on a Ferrari F1 racing simulator and compare their lap times against those of Ferrari’s F1 drivers on the Hublot Challenge website. Hublot is the official timekeeper of Ferrari.

The winner of the Dubai leg will be invited to compete in the Middle East final in Abu Dhabi and attempt to win a real track experience on Yas Marina circuit during the Ferrari Finali Mondiali weekend in December.

Watches on show included the Big Bang Ferrari Ceramic Carbon, Big Bang Ferrari King Gold and Big Bang Ferrari Titanium Carbon.
