Oversized watch brand Hublot has continued its global growth scheme with a new store opening in the Hungarian capital Budapest – its third new store in two months.
The new store was opened by the brand’s chairman Jean-Claude Biver and is located on the Andrássy Avenue. It is the second presence in the city for the brand, which is also sold through Budapest’s Four Seasons Hotel.
The 120sqm store has a sales area with a bar, as well as a mezzanine floor with a VIP louge and “another more exclusive bar”. It is decorated with black leather floor tiles that have been specially crafted in Normandy.
Biver said: "Here we are finally in Budapest, a registered UNESCO World Heritage city just like our Lavaux region in Switzerland.
“So what could be more logical for Hublot than to follow in the footsteps of the Romans? Now Hublot can set up in Budapest too, through its boutique.”
The brand recently opened store in Aruba in the Caribbean and Seoul. It will continue its expansion plans with stores in Almaty in Kazakhstan, Cairo and Manilla due to open in the next few weeks.
The Budapest store was opened in partnership with luxury goods boutique representative John Grove & Partners.
