Launch of the classic fusion chronograph boutique forte dei marmi 2

Hublot builds network of seven boutiques in Mediterranean hot spots

Hublot CEO Ricardo Guadalupe is not a man who lets a global pandemic derail his business or summer travel plans, which is why we will see him popping up at affluent holiday hot spots all over the Mediterranean in the coming months opening a series of monobrand boutiques and launching limited editions linked to the seaside towns.

Mr Guadalupe has already dropped anchor in the Italian port-side town of Forte dei Marmi to cut the ribbon on a store (pictured top) and launch a limited edition Classic Fusion Chronograph in its honour.

If he is to visit every Hublot showroom opening on the Mediterranean this summer, his cruise will need to dock in Spain, Turkey, Greece, France, Monaco and southern Italy.

By the looks of things, he’s going to need a bigger boat.

Hublot in Forte dei Marmi

The Tuscan seaside resort of Forte dei Marmi will this summer become home to a brand new Hublot boutique stocking a limited edition Classic Fusion Chronograph Boutique Forte dei Marmi.

Available in a limited edition of 35 pieces, this 45mm watch comes in a beige case, dial and rubber strap.

It is powered by the calibre HUB1143, a chronograph movement with a 42-hour power reserve.

Hublot in Capri

Just of the coast from the southern Italian city of Naples, the island of Capri is famous for its stunning landscapes, its palaces, its many yachts and the prestigious Rue Vittorio Emanuele, which is home to the Hublot boutique.

Here, customers will be able to purchase the Classic Fusion Chronograph Boutique Capri, a 30-piece limited edition model.

Its titanium case is topped with a ceramic bezel whose azure colour echoes that of the skies above the Bay of Naples.

The striated rubber strap and the chronograph counters, which sit either side of the white dial, are in this azure same colour.

Hublot Mykonos

Mykonos, with its whitewashed villas clinging to the hillside, its beaches and night life is a magnet for wealthy hedonists and home to yet another Hublot boutique.

This year Hublot has unveiled its tenth watch dedicated to the famous Greek island.

Based on the iconic Classic Fusion Chronograph, this 2021 version marries dark blue with the warmth of rose gold, recalling the sunset enjoyed daily by Mykonians.

A bladed rotor on the dial symbolises the Kato Myli – the island’s iconic windmills.

Hublot Bodrum

Hublot’s new Turkish boutique is in the southern seaside resort of Bodrum, a city built using stone from the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world.

Its views over the Aegean Sea inspired a new 25-piece limited edition Classic Fusion Chronograph Boutique Bodrum in azure blue with white chronograph counters and strap stitching.

Its 45mm titanium case houses a Hublot calibre HUB1143 movement.

Hublot Ibiza

Hublot has declared its love for the party island of Ibiza by opening a brand new Hublot boutique and marking the occasion with the launch of a Classic Fusion Chronograph Boutique Ibiza.

It comes in a 45mm blue ceramic case housing an automatic HUB1143 chronograph movement.

Its dial is decorated with the hippy flower power symbol, a reminder of Ibiza’s dedication to peace and love.

Hublot Saint-Tropez and Monaco

Finally, and conveniently on the way back to land-locked Switzerland is the French Riviera and Hublot’s boutiques in Saint-Tropez and Monaco.

There are no new limited editions for the French or Monégasques this year, but a summer cruise of the Med would not be complete without a visit to the billionaire playgrounds.
