Hublot’s trend forecasters look like they are onto something, with yellow gold jewellery and watches lighting up celebrity Instagram feeds over the past year.
That plays to the brand’s strengths, with some of its earliest watches making their mark by combining yellow gold with rubber — a shocking combination 40 years ago when Hublot was first to take a punt on category-defining luxury sports watches.
Yellow gold cases with black rubber straps are used in six Hublot watches for 2022 in the Classic Fusion, Big Bang and Spirit of Big Bang collections.
A Classic Fusion Chronograph with a brushed yellow gold case and bezel comes in 42mm for the first time.
Hublot’s Big Bang Integral has a trio of new three-hand automatics for 2022, one of which uses yellow gold from a single gold bar for its case and bracelet. The watch is also offered fully set with diamonds.
A Big Bang Unico for 2022 is the first to come with a 42mm sold gold case on a rubber strap and Unico movement.
Finally, the tonneau-shaped Spirit of Big Bang has been made in gold with a skeletonised calibre HUB4700 movement.
