Hublot and Berluti collaborate on new ‘Scritto’ model

Hublot and Berluti have collaborated on a new ‘Scritto’ model paired with a Venezia Cold Brown or Cold Gold leather strap, a nod to the luxury shoe brand.

In partnership since 2016, the new series will be exclusively available in Hublot stores in Ginza, Osaka and Kyoto in Japan and in the New York Hublot boutique from June 19 to July 20.

It will then become available worldwide the following day.

Commenting on working with the luxury house, Ricardo Guadalupe, CEO of Hublot, said: “In Olga Berluti’s eyes, there is nothing more beautiful than a leather shoe darkened with age. This alone has a soul, she says. This has led her to develop an incredible colour palette, a spectrum from light to dark, which makes these shoes unique, just like their owner.

“Transferring this to the world of watchmaking was a challenge we relished. It was an exciting exercise to transpose the patina and the “Scritto” – two hallmark signs of Berluti’s expertise – onto our cases.”

The two hybrid timepieces are powered by the HUB1143 automatic chronograph movement.

They are presented in a bespoke box containing a complete Berluti leather care set with each version being available in a limited edition of 200 pieces.
