HOT 100 POWER PLAYERS: Vincent Reynes, managing director, Bvlgari UK

Having moved from Rome to London, Vincent Reynes has learned to embrace new challenges very quickly in his role as managing director at Bvlgari UK.

This quality, coupled with his natural predisposition for decisiveness, has served him well. In the last 12 months, for example, all categories of the business have experienced growth, and an in-depth cultural change within the UK team has brought about a more entrepreneurial approach.

The Bond Street store has also been refurbished into an extraordinary space brimming with brand essence – as evidenced by his Hot 100 photoshoot. “I am a big fan of 50s and 60s Italy, La Dolce Vita, with its glamorous parties and style, and we have tried to recreate this atmosphere on the first floor of our Bond Street boutique, but with a contemporary touch,” says Vincent. “It is definitely a place where one can feel the atmosphere of that precious time in our Maison’s history.”

Indeed, this development is a key part of his strategy for ensuring Bvlgari is the must-have luxury brand in London and the UK in the years to come.

Above all, Vincent has become increasingly aware of the value of the people around him. “People come first, for better or worse – they are the key to success or to failure,” he states. “Luxury brands in particular are very people-focused, and as a consequence my team is priority number one in whatever I do.”

A fundamental part of this, says Vincent, is staying faithful to those who believe in him – especially his wife. “After all, there is no success without a trustworthy and supporting other half.”
