HOT 100 2014: Victoria Campbell Dreyfuss Group

Business people can often refer to the growth of a brand or a product as moving at breakneck speed, and this is certainly true of Rotary of late, and an idiom that has a very personal double meaning for Victoria Campbell.

“My sense of achievement at getting back to work after breaking my neck in a riding accident has to stand out as a huge challenge that I overcame,” shares Victoria. “That we then delivered a very respectable year of sales growth in 2013 is the biggest achievement to look back on as growth came from both UK and international customers.”

The global growth of this London-based Swiss watchmaker has been a key focal point in the last year, and to help raise its profile in the Far East Rotary signed a landmark deal as the first official timekeeper of Chelsea FC, a football club with a huge overseas following.

“Our business in the Asia Pacific region has really taken off over the last year and it is hugely rewarding to see our brand on display in new territories such as Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Korea and Malaysia,” says Victoria.

In recognition of its growth overseas, Rotary was awarded with the Queen’s Award for International Trade, which Victoria describes as a particularly proud moment for her and her team. With a great year under her belt, Victoria is looking to replicate the success in the year to come, although there are some things she would do differently.

“My business objectives are to do it all over again – by that I mean achieve further business growth; the corollary is in my personal life where I’m taking great care to not do it all over again – i.e. not breaking my neck again!”
