Watch strap manufacturer Hirsch has scooped a prestigious design award for its hybrid Performance Collection in its 250th anniversary year.
Hirsch was awarded a Red Dot Design Award for its Performance Collection of watch straps with judges praising the ‘high quality design’ of the concept.
The Performance Collection features straps with a lattice-structured natural rubber core and a leather ‘upper’, designed to offer the comfort and longevity of rubber with a genuine leather appearance.
Hirsche, which in 1955 patented the Remborde technique of seamlessly binding leather upper with lining, has been producing leather goods in Austria since 1765 and this year also celebrates 70 years of bracelet production and 10 years under the leadership of current chief executive officer Robert Hirsch.
