Citizen upped its satellite game at Baselworld this year with the Satellite Wave-World Time GPS F150, a watch that walked in and snatched the record for fastest timekeeping signal reception from GPS, an unnoticeable three seconds.
Upgraded electronics also allows the watch to calculate which of 27 city timezones it is situated in automatically through GPS positioning for the first time, rather than require the wearer to set the current timezone manually.
The watch also features a perpetual calendar, displaying time, day and date on the dial along with signal strength indicator and power reserve for the light-powered Eco Drive movement.
The 44mm stainless steel watch with anti-reflective coating sapphire crystal glass also treads a more conversative design path than we’ve come to expect from GPS watches in the past ,which is sure to boost the F150’s mass market appeal to consumers in international territories.
