Garrick was the toast of British watch collectors when it presented its new Portsmouth at SalonQP in November.
At the heart of the timepiece is a new hand-wound Garrick movement, designed by British watchmaker Simon Michlmayr and the movement specialist, Andreas Strehler.
The movement parts are manufactured both in the UK and Switzerland before being assembled Garrick’s own Norfolk workshop.
The company does not intend to dramatically ramp up production for the £17,995 watch, so customers may have to be patient once they place an order.
But we have waited a long time for high quality watchmaking to return to Britain, so we can wait a little bit longer for pieces as beautiful and impressive as the Portsmouth.
