Hamilton has unveiled a sneak peek of one of its new Basel launches – the Jazzmaster Face2Face – an unusual, oval watch that can be flipped, offering the wearer a choice of two watches in one.
The brand said it has ventured into new terrain with the "dual identity" watch, a timepiece that it says is both avant-garde and classic in its design.
The Face2Face features a stainless steel rotating case housing two dials and two automatic calibres – one a chronograph and the other a three-hander. The wearer can switch between the two side of the watch, enabling the use a second time zone.
The design features skeletonised rotors, sapphire crystal on both sides and a smoked crystal dial with blue accents.
This sharp new direction from Hamilton adds both a playful appeal and contemporary watchmaking edge to the brand which is famed for its combination of long-standing classic design and iconic models, such as the Ventura.
The Face2Face is finished with a black leather strap with bright turquoise blue lining and top-stitching. It will be limited to just 888 pieces, with the edition number marked at six o’clock.
