Hamilton returns to the space age with a remake of its 1970 Pulsar digital watch

The watch went on pre-sale this week in two versions, a brushed steel piece for $745 and a limited edition gold-colored model for $995 that will only be made in a run of 1,970 units.

Hamilton has brought back its Pulsar digital watch, fifty years after it first burst onto the scene in America as the country was still celebrating putting the first man on the moon.

Everything was about the space age back then, and Hamilton Pulsar sales rocketed to become an iconic piece of the era.

Now it is back, renamed the Hamilton PSR, as an almost identical watch made to today’s modern watchmaking standards.

The watch went on pre-sale this week in two versions, a brushed steel piece for £675 and a limited edition gold-colored model for £900 that will only be made in a run of 1,970 units.

Both have matching integrated steel bracelets holding the watch head, which is 40.8mm x 34.7mm.

The quartz movement is protected behind sapphire glass that should not scratch, and the watch is water resistant to 328 feet.

  1. Wow i cant wait for this model to be released as this is a classic timepiece from the early 70s , and the same watch my late father had whilst he played jazz music in the london clubs in the early 70s.
i will be buying one for sure.

  2. I recall selling the GP version at WoS at around £800 when an 18ct Rolex DD BW was around £4,000…8-)
