It has been 122 years since William Hagerty spotted a gap in the market for silver polish that stopped jewellery tarnishing and started a mail order business for high quality cleaning products.
The Hagerty business, originally hailing from the United States, but now headquartered in Switzerland, sells to more than 70 countries through a network of subsidiaries and wholesale partners.
The company’s range of products has also evolved, and now includes specialist care products for jewellery, watches tableware and even carpets and textiles.
“Taking care of your precious possessions is Hagerty’s mission,” the company states.
Watch retailers are a target market for Hagerty stainless steel cloths, which are designed to care of any metal cases without damaging them. The impregnated material gives back brightness to the items and does not cause any micro-scratches or marks on the metal or steel, according to the company.
