Gun-toting Rolex robbers hit Browns in Leeds

Two men wielding shotguns and hammers stole a stash of Rolex watches from Browns jeweller and pawnbroker in Leeds on Saturday.

The robbers, who threatened two female staff members, disguised their identities with face coverings and wore hooded tops.

A 23-year-old man was arrested yesterday in connection with the crime and a vehicle has been seized.

Browns owner Simon Brown spoke to the Yorkshire Evening Post that police were on the scene within 10 minutes of the attack and said that the shop is now open again.

He told the newspaper: “It is a traumatic incident and this is just a little family business so this knocks us for six.
“But it is a busy shop and everyone is back, working away as usual and getting on with things. “We have got a lovely team and they are very dedicated.”
