GoS Watches cuts through the competition with midnight blue Damascus steel timepieces.

GoS Watches, a company born from the partnership of a bladesmith and a watchmaker, has unveiled a Midnight Blue edition of its Sarek line made from tempered steel that changes colour in the light.

The company has stated that “The process of hand forging Damascus steel results in every forged piece containing patterns with a different character and personality.” In this case, they have opted for a darker palette from their previous collection, the Ice Blue.

The ladies´ model measures 31.5x9mm with a 40mm lug-to-lug length. The Moose strap is 16mm and tapers to 14mm at the folding buckle. The men’s model measures 43×10.5mm and has a 22mm wide Moose leather strap.

The Scandinavian pieces both are made from stainless steel, said to reference Viking bracelets, they both also sport a Swiss Automatic movement, the Soprod A10.

The unique dial design on the pieces is achieved by the 164 layered steel, which is encased in a sapphire crystal dome on the front as well as a display back. These 5ATM watches also come with a black moose leather strap, which come in brown, khaki or black.

Each numbered watch comes in a handcrafted presentation box in walnut made by wood artist Kanevad.

The retail price of Sarek Midnight Blue is $9,500 / £7,250.
