Girard-Perregaux crosses over to ecommerce

Girard-Perregaux is choosing its 230th anniversary to take a leap into the future with the launch of its own ecommerce site.

There are 27 references available to purchase from this week including an online exclusive in the form of a new limited edition Laureato Absolute Wired.

It comes as no surprise that GP is moving in the direction of direct to consumer ecommerce. Parent company Kering has been transitioning its biggest brand, Gucci, to become a digital leader for over a decade.

Patrick Pruniaux, Girard-Perregaux’s CEO is also a digital evangelist, having spent several years with Apple.

“Despite turning 230 years old Girard-Perregaux has no intention of remaining stuck in the past,” he says.

“In fact, launching e-commerce is just one of the many moves Girard-Perregaux will make in 2021 that reflects our philosophy of constant improvement and striving to maintain a competitive edge,” he adds.
