Gieves & Hawkes cuts deal with Zeon to create tailor-made watches

Zeon Ltd has signed a licensing agreement with Gieves & Hawkes to design, manufacture and distribute a collection of watches under the iconic British luxury brand.

Simon Gilham, managing director of Zeon Ltd says: “The Gieves & Hawkes brand stands out as one that has a luxurious timeless style, known for its commitment to craft and unyielding commitment to quality.

“It has an enviable list of clients, that have included The Duke of Wellington and Lord Admiral Nelson to contemporary clients such as David Beckham, Colin Firth and Daniel Craig.”

With roots dating back to 1771 and a rich history centred around the craft of bespoke, Royal patronage and strong links to the military, Gieves & Hawkes has held a Royal Warrant from every sovereign of the United Kingdom since George III.

The collection will be a marriage of the heritage and provenance of the Gieves & Hawkes archive and the artistry of luxury Swiss watchmaking.

All watches will be designed at the tailor’s legendary address, No.1 Savile Row London. It will be an entirely Swiss made collection, with the finest leather straps made in England.

“Developing our proposition of products into the watch category with Zeon as a trusted partner will enable us to further extend on our core brand values of timeless styling and quality that transcends the season.” says Nick Keyte, managing director of Gieves & Hawkes.

“The collection will launch within our No.1 Savile Row store for Christmas 2018 and then roll out for Spring 2019 into our retail partners worldwide.”
