Gavin Crilly-McKean appointed chief commercial officer at Solar Time Ltd.

Hong Kong-based group designs and manufactures licensed and owned watch brands for global distribution.

Former Timex senior vice-president Gavin Crilly-McKean has been appointed chief commercial officer of Solar Time Ltd.

Solar Time is a privately held company with offices and subsidiaries in Hong Kong and London, and a presence in the US.

The company designs, manufactures and markets watches and accessories under its own labels and on behalf of licensed brands.

It has its own manufacturing facilities in China, and also provides design and manufacturing services for private label brands worldwide.

Its UK subsidiary, Dartmouth Brands, handles distribution for AVI-8, Spinnaker, Dufa, NuBand and Lyle & Scott.

Mr Crilly-McKean who was previously with Timex Group as SVP UK,EMEA & APAC, started with Solar Time on August 1.
