Gardiner Houlgate, an auction house based in Bath, has highlighted a Rolex Submariner 5513 with an Explorer 369 dial as its star lot at this week’s sale.
The Watch Auction, which takes place on October 25, is expecting the timepiece to sell for £60-100,000.
The stainless steel watch with 3-6-9 Explorer dial, ref. 5513 was first sold circa 1964.
It has a cracked watch face and is sold without a strap or bracelet.
The massive auction has over 2500 items for sale including hundreds of vintage Swiss wristwatches and pocket watches, and also carriage clocks, wall clocks and watch parts.
