G-Shock has unveiled red blue and black styles of a new MTG-B2000 that build on the brand’s reputation for indestructible watches by using metal and resin as part of a dual core guard structure.
Dual core guard is G-Shock’s description of a carbon fiber-reinforced resin monocoque case and case back surrounded by a metal frame.
This new structure means the MTG-B2000 has more visible metal than other MT-G watches in an even lighter mid-sized case than the MTG-B1000 that was released in 2018.
The watches have three dual coil motors and receive radio wave time-calibration signals that automatically adjust the time when paired with a smartphone app.
They also have automatic time adjustment to the local time zone when crossing zones.
G-Shock says the watches will go on sale in November priced from £899.
