In celebration of Chinese New Year on February 1, G-SHOCK has released a limited edition MTG model depicting this years zodiac animal, the tiger.
MTG stands for ‘metal twisted G-SHOCK’ and is from the brands most premium line of watches.
But luxury, in this case, does not mean compromising on strength.
The MTG-B1000 Year of the Tiger timepiece is rugged and shock resistant thanks to its carbon fibre-reinforced resin case.
G-SHOCK has not held back on the tiger styling. The watch has a striped black and grey dial, gold coloured bezel, also with a tiger pattern, and a bright red rubber strap.
A laser peeling process is used on the bezel to give it a golden tiger pattern effect.
There is also tiger-style engraving on the back of the watch is by the young Chinese graffiti artist Hou Shanzhao.
The MTG-B1000 Year of the Tiger is on sale now for £999.
